Will wheels/tires from '07 x model xterra fit an '01 xterra?

I'm selling my model X steel wheels and general grabber tires, and someone asked if they'd fit his 2001 xterra? I have the 16" base model x steel wheels and tires. So, what do you think, will they?

the wheels will not fit a previous generation Xterra. They will fit the 05, 06, 07.

He says he does have 16" wheels on his '01 xterra, and the lugs are the same 6 / 5.5"--are my tires too big? they're 275/70-16? or is he wrong about the lugs matching up?

Ours are 6 on 4.5 the 1st gen wheels will not fit without some kind of adapter.

weird. i searched some nissan OEM thing and it said ours were 6 / 5.5 ... sheesh. thanks again.
